Tamer Nafar announces show at The Sugar Club for Palestinian Cultural Days

Tamer Nafar has announced a show at The Sugar Club, Dublin, on Sunday, September 27. Nafar will be joined by fellow musician Róisin El Cherif as special guest.

The performance is the headline event for the Palestinian Cultural Days festival, which will be taking place from September 25 to 27.

Organised by Palestinian Cultural Days, a group of Palestinian artists living in Dublin, the festival celebrates Palestinian art, food, film, literature, and music. This will be the festival's second iteration.

Tamer Nafar is a rapper and musician, he is a founding member of Palestinian hip-hop group NAM. Nafar has been an active figure in the Arabic rap scene since 1998. His music explores themes including Palestinian identity and politics, as well as love and poverty. His most recent album, In the name of the father, the Imam & John Lennon, was released in January 2026.

Róisin El Cherif is an Irish-Palestinian singer based in Dublin, she recently performed at the When Next We Meet festival in Clonmel, in June 2026. She has performed at a number of shows in aid of Palestine, including the National March for Palestine, and Gig For Gaza.
