The record comes out on September 26 via Pizza Pizza Records
Irish alt-rock and shoegaze outfit The Altered Hours are returning with the announcement of their self-titled third studio album, due out September 26 via Pizza Pizza Records.
To accompany the announcement, they also put out the lead single ‘Lay There With You’, a soulful, slow-burning duet set in the atmospheric expanse of Cork's Lee Valley.
Check out the new single below:
The band’s third album The Altered Hours is said to “capture the band in full bloom - delivering their most dynamic, direct, and emotionally resonant work to date.”
Since forming in 2010, The Altered Hours have shared stages with The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Pop Group, and members of Spacemen 3, and joined Fontaine’s D.C European and UK tours. Guitarist Cathal Mac Gabhann has also stepped in as live guitarist for Fontaines D.C., touring with the band across Japan and Australia.
Now signed to Pizza Pizza Records, The Altered Hours step into a new phase. Their forthcoming self-titled album is described as “channeling the spark of their revered live shows, while allowing a new emotional depth to shine.”
