The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Kevin Dwan, The Adventures Of Captain Mac And The Starship Peace And Unity is a sci-fi themed concept album which tells the tale of Mackenzie Johnson and his crew as they soar among the solar winds, thwarting evil and bringing peace to the universe via electro-based sound-scapes. Lovingly assembled and full of interesting samples and infectious beats, the album isn’t in the same league as say, Jeff Wayne’s War Of The Worlds, but it’s still a fun techni-colour romp in its own right.
