That's how we burn
SWAGGERING IF SLIGHTLY THROWAWAY SURF-POP
Spear-heading the resurgence of Sub Pop alongside the Dum Dum Girls are the swaggeringly pop-tastic Jail. In many ways, That's How We Burn could very well be the side project of Avi Buffalo and Jay Reatard that never was. While some of the songs are a bit throwaway and sound like surf guitar songs by numbers ('On The Beat'), the effortlessly cool 'Everyone's Hip' and 'She's My Baby' make up for the misfires. That's How We Burn won't set the charts alight, but for the elite few, it'll start a fire in their hearts.
