Ten Past Seven win Murphy’s Live competition
Killarney heroes Ten Past Seven were named the cream of this year's Murphy's Live crop
Ten Past Seven have been confirmed as the winners of Murphy’s Live 2005, a nationwide talent trawl judged by Angela Dorgan of the Federation Of Irish Music Collectives.
“It came down to a very tough choice between three excellent bands – Hy Brasil, Duped and Ten Past Seven – but as this is a live competition, Ten Past Seven had the edge,” Dorgan reveals.
Hailing from Killarney, TPS formed in September 2002 and have received much praise for their DIY onehundredandfiftydegrees album, which they’ve been selling at gigs.

Courtesy of Murphy’s, they’re going back into the studio to work on new material and hopefully snare themselves a record deal.
