TECH REVIEW- Lumia 630
Rainbow Coalition
Appearing in mustard yellow, carrot orange and other tasty covers, Lumia 630 stands out in the smartphone line-up. The lime green shell on the back of the phone reviewed here wouldn’t look out of place in a glass of Margarita. Light and affordable, Lumia 630 goes up against Motorola’s Moto G for supremacy of the budget market. It’s not just a pretty face.
Spark up the phone and you’ll discover the cover’s colour on Windows 8.1’s live tiles. More lime! The 4.5” display has a 800 x 480 resolution and a swipe-gesture keyboard that pours words from your fingertips with poetic flourish. There’s a 5-megapixel camera with a decent selection of modes but no flash or front facing camera. Narcissists will pine. The inclusion of a few excellent pre-installed apps – Here Drive, Here Maps, Nokia Mixradio – is enough to keep this green machine within arm’s reach.
