Taylor Swift releases 'The Fate of Ophelia' music video and tops Irish Spotify charts

Taylor Swift has released a music video for her new track 'The Fate of Ophelia' after the song debuted at No.1 on the Irish Spotify charts.

"Writing, rehearsing, directing and shooting the music video for 'The Fate of Ophelia' was the thrill of a lifetime," said the pop star on Instagram.

The video features appearances from dancers on Swift's Eras Tour.

"I wanted each one-take scene to feel like a live performance and remind us all of how it felt to be at those shows together," said the singer.

The music video previously premiered in cinemas as part of the official release party for Swift's 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl, which came out October 3.

Her new album sold 2.7 million copies on the first day of release.

Additionally, it claimed the entire Top 12 on Spotify's charts across the globe, including Ireland, US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, New Zealand, and more.
