Tales From A Skinny White Boy

Bobby Kray is a UK reggae artist who has been building a strong live reputation for himself, as a support act to Amy Winehouse, and his debut album is not without charm. Kray is at his best when delivering more up-tempo pop-reggae – the irresistible bounce of opener ‘Main Man’ being a particularly fine example – but he also has an unfortunate tendency towards mawkish sentimentality. Indeed, you would be hard pressed to find a 'stickier' song than the penultimate track ‘I Love You’, which is even more wretched than its title threatens.
