Take Me To The Sea
Alternative supergroups don’t come much more, er, super, than the mighty Jaguar Love. Featuring members of the dearly departed Blood Brothers.
Namely singer Johnny Whitney, guitarist Cody Votolato, and Jay Clark from the sadly missed Pretty Girls Make Graves, this record explodes from the speakers in a hail of ferocity and invention. Whitney’s former punk rock snarl has been replaced by a more melodic, female-sounding vocal delivery and the result is powerful, edgy yet supremely catchy stuff. If you take a chance on just one record then make sure it’s Take Me To The Sea as it’s possibly the underground triumph of the year. Take our word for it, by the time December rolls around you’ll love these Jaguars just as much as we do.
