Take A Chance On Me
Rejoice! The men who launched their third album with a gig in their local Nando’s are (inexplicably) back, and this time, they’re desperately lonely. ‘Take A Chance’ is an atrociously sappy number in which Jack The Lad number one tries to convince a woman with “lovely eyes” to put her relationship doubts aside and make their lurrve official, while Jack The Lads two through four launch sporadic rounds of “whoah-oh-ohs” in brotherly support. Weepy as it is, I reckon Aston thingummybob gets the girl in the end, because his voice is actually rather delish.
