Stuck in this ocean
Indie hopefuls scale heady heights on their debut.
Manchester-based four-piece Airship have elevated their songs to the skies for their debut record. It’s an 11-track, spacey slab of wax – a sprawling effort boasting a wall of sound that’s as solid as Chunk from the Goonies’ bunk-bed. Produced and engineered by Doves/Cherry Ghost cohorts Dan Austin and Pebelski and Editors’ Chris Urbanowicz, Stuck In This Ocean is a massive statement of intent from one of indie’s most promising up-and-comers. Tracks like the pounding ‘Kids’ and the epic ‘The Trial Of Mr Riddle’ prove that they’ve got the songs (and talent) to take Airship to the stars.
