Stubborn Love
The speed at which Colorado folk fivesome The Lumineers went from scruffy unknowns to scruffy stadium-fillers is tough to comprehend, even for those of us who write about this stuff for a living, and it’s all thanks to ‘Ho Hey’, a peppy love-song that sold two million copies and is destined to soundtrack every married couple’s first dance for the next 18 to 36 months. Follow-up ‘Stubborn Love’ is another terribly simple track based around uplifting lyrics and singalong shouty bits, and while it’s far from groundbreaking, it certainly won’t upset fans of their first megahit.
