Steve Gadd plays The Helix
After volcano-related hold-ups, the legendary paradiddler is finally on his way to Dublin.
Having previously been thwarted in his attempts to visit Dublin by that pesky Mount Eyjafjallajökull, the drummer that other drummers call the Guv’nor Steve Gadd brings his Zildjian Mission From Gadd tour – he could also earn a decent crust from being a tabloid headline writer! – to The Helix on September 6. Tickets priced €17 are available from [link]www.thehelix.ie[/link]. Having sat in with Dizzy Gillespie at the tender age of eleven, the American has gone on to add such fellow legends as B.B. King, Steely Dan, Simon & Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, Dr. John, James Brown and Paul McCartney to his drumming C.V.
