St. Vincent To Write & Direct A Horror Film
The haunting voice of indie rock is coming to the big screen
St. Vincent, who's real name is Annie Clark, is taking a little break from music and trying her hand at writing a film script.
Clark will not only be penning the horror film, she'll also be directing it. The new venture is part of XX, an upcoming horror series extravaganza of "four deadly tales" created by, directed by and starring women.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium,” said St. Vincent.
“I’ve long been a fan of Annie’s work,” explained Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles. “We’re excited to watch the singular vision she’ll bring to this project.”
Filmmakers Karyn Kusama, who shot Jennifer’s Body, Jennifer Lynch, who made Surveillance and Jovanka Vuckovic, who directed The Captured Birdare all involved in the XX project.
