Special release of Rory Gallagher's Calling Card to raise funds for War Child on Record Store Day
The complete list of Record Store Day 2026 releases is expected to be published in the coming weeks.
Record Store Day 2026 (RSD) has announced special releases from artists including The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, Divorce, Primal Scream, Bring Me The Horizon, and Sigrid, in support of War Child.
The 19th annual celebration of independent record shops in the UK is scheduled for Saturday, April 18. Over 280 stores will participate, offering exclusive releases from a list of hundreds of artists.
The list of upcoming releases includes Rory Gallagher's 1976 album, Calling Card, which celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. Calling Card was Rory Gallagher's final album with drummer Rod de'Ath and keyboardist Lou Martin. The Dubliners later recorded a version of this track for their 1992 album, 30 Years A' Greying.
"Rory's sixth studio album is one of his most celebrated and diverse albums," reads the Record Store Day website
Also featured, is the new charity album, HELP(2), on which Fontaines D.C. contribute a cover of Sinéad O'Connor's 'Black Boys on Mopeds.'
HELP(2) features of well-known lineup of artists, including Olivia Rodrigo, Depeche Mode, Pulp, and Young Fathers, among others. The first single to be released from the charity record is 'Opening Night' by The Arctic Monkeys. This release marks the band's first new music since their 2022 album, The Car.
These releases will support their official charity partner, War Child UK, with £1 from every copy sold being donated. This contribution will support the charity's work to protect, educate, and provide mental health support to children affected by war, particularly within Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, and Syria.
