Soulwax announce first album in seven years All Systems Are Lying

Belgian electronic outfit Soulwax have announced their first album in seven years All Systems Are Lying, due out on October 17 via Dewee / Because Music.

They also shared the two accompanying lead singles, namely the record’s title track, as well as the song ‘Run Free’.

All Systems Are Lying was recently teased with a cryptic billboard in London which featured the record’s title in all caps.

The follow-up to Soulwax’s 2018 album Essential, All Systems Are Lying is described as “a rock album made without any electric guitars.

“We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments,” the duo continued, “live, loud and loose. This record is the result of that experiment.”

According to a press statement, the album “was built entirely from modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals. It’s a fractured mirror held up to modern society on the brink – where truth is distorted by filters, algorithms and noise.”
