Sorry For Party Rocking
RedFoo and SkyBlu of record-smashing group LMFAO are hardly the Rodgers & Hammerstein of electro pop – hell, they’re barely even the Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow of electro pop – which is why it’s so bizarre that both members are the offspring of Motown legend Berry Gordy, one of the most important people in musical history. It makes sense in that the US pop charts are probably the safest place to keep the two thoroughly puerile members of the Gordy dynasty, but how Foo and Blu managed to avoid picking up any of the Motown staples (timeless melodies, urbane lyrics etc.) is beyond me. Oh, the song? It’s as vacuous and pointless as all of their other songs. Next.
