Something About Faith
Keeping the faith faith
Silky voiced soul sensation Faith Evans’ returns to the fray this fortnight with her fifth album and in many ways it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Once again featuring her name in the title (the poor dear must have problems remembering it), her latest opus sees Biggie’s former squeeze refine her sound a little and deliver some of the best work of her career (‘Way You Move,’ ‘Party’). Unfortunately, it’s not all killer though and at 16 tracks, Something About Faith feels a little bloated to these ears. Still, it’ll no doubt yield a handful of hit singles for her and ensure that the suits let her make another record, so I guess it ain’t all bad.
Key Track: ‘Way You Move’
