A. Smyth drops new single ahead of show tonight
The new single 'Hero' comes just before tonights Grand Social show with The Snuts.
A. Smyth is gaining momentum like no other, and now it seems he's found his sound. After releasing five singles over the last 18 months, Smyth has been constantly writing and recording at a prolific pace. It’s taken nearly two years to reach a point where a debut album is in sight, and it will be released next year.
Today, Smyth delivers his newest single and first song from the forthcoming record, “Hero.” It couldn't come at a better time, as he is also slated to open for The Snuts tonight at The Grand Social. The new song is a blissful and smooth indie anthem. Lush textures coat the track as Smyth's distinctive croon ties together the tune.
Smyth explains “Hero is about the way the world is working against itself at the moment. All this crazy behaviour we’re seeing, the disconnection from one another. Underneath it all, it’s just people grasping for the things that we all want – safety, security, answers. The madness being, of course, that this behaviour is causing the opposite.”
Take a listen to the song now!
