Smashing Pumpkins 'Beige Beige' - Track Review
Let’s be honest, the Pumpkins of old are dead. They’re never coming back. Nowadays, like it or not, the “band/brand” is a front for Billy Corgan. While in recent times the new Pumpkins have yielded mixed results, the misleadingly titled ‘Beige Beige’ is something of a return to form. Starting off slow and understated, the song builds up to a big, bombastic alt rock ballad that sounds like vintage Billy. If the rest of the soon to be released Monuments To An Elegy is as good as this then the Pumpkins could be back in business.
