The thrash legends & Sir Tom are hitting Cork in June & July respectively
Cork Live At The Marquee has announced two equally compelling but very different shows!
First up on June 15 is a thrash metal double-whammy featuring Slayer and Anthrax who along with Megadeth and Metallica make up the genre's Big Four.
Incidentally, Metallica have been confirmed as the official ambassadors for Record Store Day, which takes place on Saturday April 16. Their contribution to the vinyl fun is the timely Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Metallica! - Live at Le Bataclan, Paris, France - June 11th, 2003 album.
Both bands still make a fearsome racket, with tickets going on sale on Friday March 4.
Headbanging will be replaced by knicker-throwing on July 12 when Tom Jones hits the People's Republic. In the business for over 50 years, he's received some of his best ever reviews for recent albums Long Lost Suitcase, Spirit In The Room and Praise & Blame, which underline just what a great Rhythm & Blues singer the Welshman is.
Sir Tom tickets go on sale on Monday February 29.
