They made a huge impression on all who witnessed their set at the recent Music Show and the debut EP from this very young Wicklow four-piece, influenced by classic ‘60s and ‘70s rock, certainly doesn’t disappoint. Frontman, Jack Matthews has a singularly unique voice which he uses to strong effect on pared-down guitar based numbers like ‘Skin’, ‘Patience’ and ‘The Muse’ – which collectively reveal the strong song-writing talent of Max Matthews. The final track, ‘Dancing In the Dark’ is their own epic original not the Springsteen number of the same name – though it would have been intriguing to see how they might have handled The Boss’ poppiest number.
