Sibéal shares new song 'Mise Sibéal' from her upcoming album
The Irish artist's debut album arrives on August 2.
Sibéal has shared the music video for 'Mise Sibéal' (I Am Sibéal) from from her upcoming debut album. Set to be released on August 2 through Universal Music Ireland, the project was recorded across a variety of studios, including Windmill Lane, The National Concert Hall, RTÉ Studios, Rathmines College DIT and in Rath Cairn, where she grew up.
The album follows a series of breathtaking singles from the Meath artist, including her Sibéal: Live At Abbey Road Studios EP, which included recordings of 'He Moved Through The Fair' and 'The Parting Glass'.
For her full-length debut, Sibéal carefully chose the songs and poems to create an evocative collection that seamlessly blends old and new. The tracklist allows Sibéal’s rich, haunting voice to take centre stage amidst a backdrop of hypnotising orchestral accompaniment and harmonies. It features arrangements of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', 'The Wind That Shakes The Barley' and the is 'Mise Éire'.
“My favourite part of making this album was the creative process," she revealed in a statement "Being able to bounce ideas off some great musicians and working together as a team is something I love to do. I also enjoyed watching the orchestra perform and listening back to the strings and all the music on its own. It was a great way to get lost in the music.
