Gomez return following a battery-recharging break, much-needed after three and a half years of frenzied activity, including the release of two very successful albums, Bring It On and Liquid Skin, as well as a five-track E.P. and a collection of b-sides and unreleased tracks. The new album In Our Gun finds them in experimental form, complimenting their bluesy style with a mixture of jazzy interludes and technological effects, which have some commentators wondering whether Gomez might have been listening very closely to Kid A of late.
