Another otherworldly gem from the stunning debut record that just keeps on giving, 'Ship Of Promises' is a plundering, primal folk fable that suggests there's a darker side to Conor O'Brien. Driven along by a furious drum beat, it crescendos with the howls of a choir of pained spooks and spectres. Ghostly stuff, but gorgeous nonetheless.
