Shining lights
To celebrate their tenth birthday, Ash are releasing a Best Of double CD, jammed with their 17 ass-kicking singles and featuring "selected highlights" from the B-sides. The title? "We don't have one at the moment," says Tim, "so if anyone's got a good idea, send them to us"
Tim Wheeler has exclusively revealed to hotpress.com that Ash are planning to release a Best Of… package in the autumn.
The double-CD will include all the singles from Trailer, 1977, Nu-Clear Sounds and Free All Angels, the title track from A Life Less Ordinary which was never featured on an album, and "selected highlights" from the fiftysomething songs that have featured on their flipsides.
"I think we've had 17 singles so far and it just seems like a good time to commemorate it because it's been 10 years since we started Ash," Tim enthuses.
As for the title: "We don't have one at the moment, so if anyone's got a good idea, send them to us."

There'll be more words of wisdom from Tim and Rick Murray in the next issue of Hot Press – plus a barnstorming live performance at the Hot Press Irish Music Awards in Belfast!
