Shakira returned to where she began her international career, at Rio de Janeiro's 2026 Todo Mundo No Rio concert on May 2, with over two million fans to witness.
The Colombian singer-songwriter and multi-Grammy award winner, spanned her setlist over her entire career from early hits, 'La Tortura', and 'Hips Don't Lie' to more recent, 'La Bicicleta'.
Addressing the crowd in Portuguese throughout the concert, she paid homage to Brazil as she brought special guests, including Anitta where they debuted their new single, 'Choka Choka', marking a major collaboration between the Brazilian and Colombian artists.
Known as 'the largest concert in the world', Todo Mundo No Rio is a landmark event for Rio de Janeiro. Celebrating music, culture, and community, for free. An effort made by the city government to revitalise the local ecomony, which succeeded bringing a projected 800 million in economic benefits.
Shakira wore four Etro looks, opening the show in a silk fly suit, embellished with Swarovski crystals in the colour of the Brazilian flag. Many of her looks were created by local Brazilian designers including, Victor Hugo, Mattos, HISHA, and Dario Mittman.
With the close to the Mexico leg of her tour, she drew 400,000 fans to a free concert at Mexico City's Zócalo on March 1. After a 13-show run at Estadio GNP Seguros, she became the artist with the most performances at the venue on a single tour, selling more than 800,000 tickets across the dates.
Last month, Shakira announced a limited run of U.S. dates on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. Along with the announcement of an 11 night stadium European residency based in Madrid. Already having sold more than half a million tickets, the shows with take place in 'Shakira Stadium' which was specially built for her performance.
