Shakespears Sister go live in Dublin
Shakespears Sister, aka Meath-born Siobhan Fahey, has added Ireland to her April tour, with a show at the Button Factory, Dublin on Wednesday April 28 at 7:30pm.
The founding member of Bananarama and Ivor Novello Award winner is on the road for the first time in fifteen years in support of her new gothic electro album Songs From The Red Room, due to be released in Ireland on April 12. Decades on from the success of such chart topping singles as ‘You’re History’, ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘Stay’, Fahey new collection promises to be as current and innovative as anything on the scene today. Collaborators on the album include contemporary hit-makers Whitey, Jagz Kooner, Death In Vegas and musical legends Marco Pirroni (Adam and The Ants, Wolfmen) and Terry Hall (Specials, Fun Boy 3).
Tickets for Shakespears Sister’s Dublin date go on sale on Friday March 5. They cost €22.50 (inc. booking fee) from Ticketmaster, City Discs, Road Records and usual outlets.
