Scustin announce headline gig at Workman's Club
Tickets go on sale this Thursday via Singular Artists.
'Post-funk' outfit Scustin have today announced a headline show at The Workman's Club in Dublin on 27th April 2024.
Scustin are purveyors of post-funk stylings, which they create by merging wry narrative lyricism with a jazzy funk take on indie rock. Their distinct sound was created by imagining what might happen if "Blindboy, Mike Skinner, Jamiroquai and Viagra Boys went for a boozy night out in Bray and wrote an album about it."
The funk rockers look to follow up a dazzling meteoric rise in 2023. They performed two sold-out nights at The Academy supporting The Scratch, Scustin also had their own sold-out show at The Windmill Brixton on St. Patrick's Day last year, as well as completing a 16 date UK & Irish tour and played packed gigs at Body & Soul, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Other Voices Cardigan (Wales) and Dingle. In October 2023 the band recorded their debut album with Richie Kennedy (The Murder Capital, Shame, EOB, Interpol) at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk. They finished off 2023 with more sold-out performances in Dublin and London, while releasing their fourth single 'Sometimes I Feel.'
This year, Scustin will pick up where they left off. They will return to Windmill Brixton on St. Patrick's Day, they have a European tour in the Spring and they have festival bookings in both the UK and Ireland for the Summer.
Tickets for their headline gig in Workman's go on sale this Thursday 14th March via this website.
