Sabrina Carpenter announces new album Short and Sweet
The pop artist's upcoming LP is set to drop this August.
Sabrina Carpenter has announced the release of her sixth album, Short and Sweet, on August 23 of this year.
Carpenter announced the debut of her upcoming album via social media, "I am so excited to announce my brand new album 'Short n' Sweet' coming in August. This project is quite special to me and I hope it'll be something special to you too. I also have a surprise coming for you on Thursday night so keep an eye out", she wrote.
The Pennsylvanian singer released the single 'Espresso' from the LP on April 11 of this year and performed it the following day at the Coachella festival in California.
'Espresso' went on to top the charts in four different countries and was No.1 globally on the Spotify daily chart for over 50 days, clocking in a total of 400 million streams.
Carpenter's other single 'Feather' was also propelled to the charts and landed in the top 40 radio.
The singer and actor has been in the spotlight for some time. She started her career in the 2014-17 Disney Channel comedy 'Girl Meets World', during which she was signed to Disney-owned Hollywood Records. Carpenter now works under Island Records, with whom she released the 2022 album Emails I Can't Send , featuring the hit track 'Nonsense'.
Carpenter went on to open for the internationally acclaimed Taylor Swift for her South America and Australia tours last year and recently appeared on SNL alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
Elsewhere, Carpenter was seen at the Met Gala earlier last month with Irish actor Barry Keoghan in the pair's official first public event.
