RTE talent show winners go live
The Mulkerrin Brothers, winners of the first ever RTE All-Ireland Talent Show, have announced details of their first Irish tour, with special guests to be announced in the coming weeks.
The three Mulkerrin Brothers, Padraig, Eamonn and Seán, are from Inis Mór of the Aran Islands, and they won the competition with a combination of traditional music and dance. A special feature of their performance was Seán’s sean-nόs dancing, something you rarely see today.
Since winning the show, the brothers have performed at various festivals around the country, a sell-out debut show in Ennis, guested with Sinead O’ Connor in London and been laying tracks down for their first record. A documentary is being filmed about them for broadcast on Christmas Day.
