RTÉ Player is going global

With an ever-growing number of Irish people headed for distant lands, keeping in touch with the goings-on here on the Emerald Isle can be tough.
To that end, RTÉ has launched the RTÉ Player International, which will make programming available to people on all four corners of the globe.
Launching the new international service, Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources Alex White said: “Irish audiences abroad will now be able to avail of literally hundreds of hours of Irish television content across the full range of genres, while providing a valuable showcase for the best of Irish audiovisual production to viewers across the globe.”
