Royal Blood 'Figure It Out' - Track Review
Anointed by, well, basically everyone, as future kings of rock, Royal Blood’s ‘Figure It Out’ is a groovy little number which shows that sometimes less is more. The kind of track which will appeal to both indie kids and metal heads, the Brighton-based duo’s mix of Queens of the Stone Age’s riffs with White Stripes’ melodic sensibilities makes for an exciting listen. Admittedly, many acts have tried a similar approach in the past. Bassist/singer Mike Kerr’s fret-board gymnastics make Royal Blood a cut above the rest.
