Roll The Dice

The sheer glossiness of I’m Your Vinyl’s output never ceases to amaze me and judging by the dreamy sounds on new single ‘Roll The Dice’, I’m guessing that Ken McHugh (formerly of Autamata) and Dana Donnelly have an awful lot of cookie cutter pop on their iPods. Taken from Part One of the dance rock duo’s debut album, this track is a solid slice of kaleidoscopic pop, and as more than one YouTube commentator correctly pointed out, velvet-voiced Donnelly sounds remarkably like Cardigans vamp Nina Persson. These are all good things, right? Right. Just try not to be too bowled over when she purrs, ’Let’s roll the dice/I’ll bet on you’.
