Rob Kirwan on working with Hozier and Delorentos
Hot Press catches up with the producer of the moment.
Move over Pharell; Ireland has its own producer with a Midas touch.
Last week, Rob Kirwan saw Hozier – an album he produced – rocket to the top of the Irish charts. Now, he hopes to make it two blockbusters in a row, as our cover-stars Delorentos line up the release of Night Becomes Light.
"Hozier is obviously going to go stratospheric," he says of the Wicklow star. "I was actually producing Hozier and Delorentos at the same time!"
"I really like Night Becomes Light," he says of the forthcoming effort from the Dublin four-piece. "It's a more grown up album than their previous one."
For more on working with two of the biggest acts in Irish music - and, of course, the full lowdown from Delorentos themselves - check out the new issue of Hot Press, on shelves now!
