Road Runner
In her latest single, taken from the forthcoming extended version of her Choice-nominated Mayhem album, Imelda May seems to have confused herself with a popular ‘50s cartoon character. I can only see two similarities myself: two-tone feathers and head-spinning speed at which they do their respective things (this is Imelda’s sixth single in 12 months, after all!) As for the tune, it’s more of the same sassy, swinging pop rock with a feminist edge. Meep Meep.
