The album's lead single 'I Want It All' was released last week
Rise Against have announced a new album Ricochet, set for release on August 15 via Loma Vista Recordings.
Marking the band's first full-length record in four years, Ricochet is introduced by the lead single 'I Want It All.' It follows the earlier releases of the tracks 'Nod' and 'Prizefighter.'
The album explores themes of connection, cause and effect and personal responsibility in a fractured world.
Frontman Tim McIlrath explains, “Ricochet is about our collective inter-connectedness. Everything you do is going to affect somebody; everything you throw will affect the next person. We’re connected to other countries, other economies… it’s all one big ricochet effect.”
Produced by Grammy award-winner Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore), the album spans 12 tracks that blend the band’s signature political urgency with introspective, melodic punk.
