Right about now: a funk soul brother
Fresh from creating a cocktail-cool soundtrack for Ocean's 11, David Holmes finds that soul for mix album Come Get It I Got It
Not content with providing the soundtrack for Ocean's 11, David Holmes releases a new mix album, Come Get It I Got It, on March 25th.
The first product to emerge on his own 13 Amp label, it features such classic '60s and '70s funk tunes as The Johnny Otis Show 'Country Girl', Ray Bryant 'Up Above The Rock', JuJus 'Sweet Songs', Betty Adams 'Make It Real', The Staple Singers 'Why (Am I Treated So Bad)' and The Peter Thomas Sound Orchestra 'Stars And Rockets'. Holmer also contributes nine tracks of his own under the guise of Free Association.
As for his Ocean's 11 score, that makes it into the shops on February 11th and should earn him a place in the Guinness Book of Hit Records.
