Return to the trailer park
Famously footwear-bereft folkie Beth Orton cries our name once again at two Vicar Street shows in October, following the late summer release of fab new LP Daybreaker
Beth Orton makes a long overdue return to Dublin on October 28th and 29th for back-to-back shows in Vicar St.
hotpress.com has also managed to get its mitts on a prerelease copy of her new album, Daybreaker, which is due through Heavenly on July 26th.
As usual, Orton is joined by a gaggle of guests including Ryan Adams, William Orbit, Ben Watt, Emmylou Harris, Victor Van Vugt and old muckers the Chemical Brothers.
Says Orton: "This album was initially an experiment, one of embracing the excitement of making music rather than going into it with fear. And that feeling has carried through ever since."
In addition to the title-track, the featured cuts are 'Paris Train', 'Mount Washington', 'Anywhere', 'Carmella', 'God Song', 'This One's Gonna Bruise', 'Ted's Waltz', 'Thinking About Tomorrow' and the Johnny Marr-penned lead single 'Concrete Sky'.
