Red Bull Bedroom Jam: The Makings
Another act makes the grade...
For the second time this year, the Red Bull Bedroom Jam team headed to Donegal. This time the destination was Ballybofey, to meet up with The Makings.
The band formed when frontman Rick Burn met Barry Shock at a party, they quickly introduced drummer Paddy Reynolds. Newly joined member Shane Keeley then completed the line-up on bass.
This Dublin-based four-piece are the final band to achieve a live show in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 competition. Lead guitarist Barry Shock invited RB to his family home to record their live show. Check it out below...
The six bands that made it through the Buzz Chart along with the two wildcards – Dead Til Friday and The Animators selected by Red Bull's panel of judges, will battle it out over the coming weeks. On May 29, they will announce the top three bands to make it through to the Festivals. Each band will play one of the following – Sea Sessions, Glasgowbury or Castlepalooza, and all three bands will play Indiependence.
From there, these three bands will go on to compete in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Live Final in Whelan’s, Dublin on Friday, August 16.
The judges will select the overall winner that will travel to one of the international Red Bull Studios for a week’s recording under the auspices of a top producer.
