Recycle a masterpiece!
Attention artful and creative types!
The European Recycling Platform (ERP) has announced the staging for a second year in a row of an Electric Picnic art competition.
To highlight the importance of recycling in an interactive environment, artists and designers of every stripe are being asked to recreate a cultural iconic structure from old electrical items and batteries.
Toaster Taj Mahals and Game Boy Guggenheims must be submitted by midnight on Wednesday July 27, with three winners – Local, National and International – being announced on August 9.
Along with a pair of VIP tickets to the Picnic, the victors will also have their work exhibited as part of the event’s Arts Trail.
