Mega musical line-up aside, there’s plenty to see and hear over on Liss Ard's Literary Stage throughout the weekend...
Fresh from flaunting his iconic feelgood disco funk on the main stage, the truly legendary Nile Rodgers from Chic will be getting fuzzy heads thinking with a reading from his exhilarating autobiography Le Freak: An Upside Down Story of Family, Disco, and Destiny. Expect candour and warmth from the man who has experienced an extraordinary musical journey, as he talks us through his life as one of the world’s best-loved producers.
Also on the literary stage: part punk folk poet troubadour, part gospel music energy preacher, Jinx Lennon; award-winning journalist, author, biographer and the man behind the hugely popular Ross O’Carroll-Kelly series, Paul Howard; critically-acclaimed author of Skippy Dies, Paul Murray and from Swansea, poet and novelist Joe Dunthorne.
There’s also a handful of theatrical performances to keep wandering eyes entertained.
Created by Ray Scannell, Mimic tells the story of a boy growing up in a household dominated by religion who discovers a talent for impressions; underground poetry showcase Chill Pill is presented by Mr. Gee, Raymond Antrobus, Deanna Rodger, Simon Mole, and Kim-Leng Hills and following a sell out run at ABSOLUT Fringe, boxing drama Fight Night comes to Liss Ard from Rise Productions.
