Razorlight announce tour celebrating 20 years of their self-titled album with Irish dates
The album went 5 platinum five times, topped the UK album charts and landed them a UK No.1 single.
British indie-rock band Razorlight have announced a tour to mark 20 years since the release of their self-titled album, with stops in Ireland during their UK and Europe leg.
The group's second album, Razorlight, topped the UK album chart and secured their first No.1 single with 'America' when it was released in 2006.
The original line-up of frontman Johnny Borrell, drummer Andy Burrows, guitarists Bjorn Agren and bassist Carl Dalemo will perform the record in full, including classics such as 'In The Morning', 'Before I Fall To Pieces' and 'I Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got'.
"The album itself started to sound like a greatest hits," said Borrell on Razorlight.
"That's when you know you're alright. Me and Andy fell into this groove of writing, just this amazing musical connection. When you do that, it's like falling in love; it's just this sort of mutual intoxication, and we just couldn't stop writing."
The band will kick off the tour with a run of shows in Europe before heading to the UK and Ireland in November and December.
The tour will conclude with stops at the Telegraph, Belfast, on December 13, and the 3Olympia, Dublin, on December 14.
Tickets go on sale here, Friday, June 19, at 9 a.m.
