Radiohead manager attends Irish Music Managers' Forum launch
It's taking place in Dublin on April 29 and is open to all.
The man who looks after Radiohead and Kate Nash, Brian Message, is to speak at the launch of the Irish Music Managers’ Forum in Dublin on April 29.
Message, the Chairman of MMF UK, will join MMF UK CEO and former Virgin Records M.D. Jon Webster and a third soon-to-be-announced guest for a broad-based panel discussion moderated by Hot Press’ Stuart Clark.
There will also be a second panel comprising of Delorentos manager Hugh Murray, Coronas manager Jim Lawless and Independent Records’ Dave O’Grady, which will be chaired by MMF Training Officer Stuart Worthington.
The event takes place from 6.30pm in IMRO, Copyright House, Pembroke Row, Lower Baggot Street, with all over 18s welcome to attend.
Founded in January by Thrills manager Alan Cullivan, MMF Ireland aims to “raise professional standards in artist management; represent the management community in relation to the musc industry and government; work with industry bodies and state agencies on issues relevant to music managers and their artists; provide a networking forum where developing managers and self-managed artists can learn from established managers and generally discuss relevant issues; and to represent music managers and their Irish artists internationally.”
Three tiers of membership have been created for MMF Ireland:
Full Members: €125 annual membership with full access to all MMF events/training/offers & reductions and with voting rights, and the right to stand for election for MMF posts and council membership.
Developing Managers/Self-Managed Artists: €50 annual membership with full access to all MMF events/training/offers & reductions but without voting rights, or the right to hold any post within the organisation.
Friends of MMF Ireland/Associate Membership: by arrangement.
