A trio of exciting Galway gigs this month.
As we dive headlong into winter, Monroe's Live keeps bringing fine live sounds to the west.
The Galway venue is the perfect spot for a warm atmosphere and memorable performance, and here are three upcoming shows that should provide both.
If you're a fan of Rackhouse Pilfer, you're in luck on Friday November 13.
Fresh from recording two tracks for legendary Welsh crooner Tom Jones' latest album, the bluegrass sextet make the journey from Sligo to Galway for what should be a typically gripping performance. The band were named Jägermeister Live Band of the Year 2015 by Hot Press, so you know they're good.
Doors 8pm, Tickets €10/€8 from [link]monroes.ie[/link].
On Thursday November 19, you can catch Americana folk duo The Grahams. The husband and wife duo have been playing music together since they were in their teens, and delivered their debut album Riverman's Daughter two years back. Since then, they've played more than 100 shows around the world, honing their live chops.
Doors 8pm, tickets €10/€8 from [link]monroes.ie[/link].
The next night, Friday November 20, finds Men Of Twenty gracing the Monroe's stage. Formerly Animal Beats, the Limerick quartet have been gaining a reputation for delivering indie-pop with an edge. They're currently promoting new single 'Down By Your Side'.
