R. Kelly Drops A 19 Minute Song

'I Belive I Can Fly' singer R. Kelly has released a 19-minute track called 'I Admit'.

The song is played with just a simple piano and light synthesisers. He shared the song via Soundcloud on his Twitter.

In the song, Kelly admits that he had made mistakes, yet denies the allegations of sexual misconduct that had been made against him.

He sings: “I got a life, yeah, I got a right, yeah / Cancel my shows, that shit ain't right (shows) / How they gon' say I don't respect these women, when all I've done is represent (30 years) / Take my career and turn it upside down, 'cause you mad I've got some girlfriends”.

He later challenges the reports that he was in a cult. “What's the definition of a cult? / Whats the definition of a sex slave? /Go to the dictionary, look it up /Let me know I'll be here waiting”

The music streaming service Spotify also gets mentioned, with the rapper calling out the site for removing his discography.

Some people took offence to the lyrics though, calling out R. Kelly's lack of awareness and tact.

I just read the lyrics to R Kelly’s new 19 minute song called “I Admit It I Did It.” His lack of self awareness is atrocious. There are several lyrics I take offense to. The one I will address is “I’m just a man.” I am also a man. I would never use that to defend this behavior.

Whilst others just took offence to the sheer length of the song.

Not to dismiss the number of issues as it relates to R Kelly, BUT WHO WOULD LISTEN TO A 19-MINUTE SONG?
