Quesadillas [ep]
Mr. James D. Yancey was better known by the name J Dilla, a moniker now associated with all things exceptional in hip hop. As we approach the fifth anniversary of his death at the age of 32 from lupus, Northy beatsmith SertOne pays tribute to the revolutionary producer with Quesadillas, a four-track EP and worthy nod to the Detroit man’s last record Donuts. You’re invited to name your price for this one, but dig deep; all proceeds go to the J Dilla Foundation, which funds inner-city music programs and raises money for lupus research.
