Quarter Block Party Launch Programme For 2016
It will be the second edition of the Cork city music and arts festival.
After last year's sterling festival last February which featured the likes of O Emperor, Twinkranes, installations by composer Tom Lane and everything else in between, the festival returns this coming February.
In what may seem like an unlikely time to host a music and arts festival, Cork's Quarter Block Party have reused so many interesting spaces such as the FÁS building that the city becomes a part of the festival. The three day music and arts festival is presented by Makeshift Ensemble and the Southern Hospitality Board and takes place within the North and South main street of the city.
So far the bill includes Spooks of the Thirteenth Lock, Daniel Knox who has collaborated with Jarvis Cocker and film director David Lynch, DJ Donal Dineen, Dublin’s Bitch Falcon, Horse, Lowlek, Lakerama and chamber folk trio Sillk/
If last year's festival is anything to go by this is not a weekend to miss.
