Push Me Under
For those who haven't heard Guinness Our Thursdays victors Maud In Cahoots, imagine a very clever alloy of pop and classical. Actually scrap that. That sounds rubbish and Maud In Cahoots are as far from rubbish as you could possibly imagine. Instead, read this: 'Push Me Under' is the massively powerful first single from Dublin-born New York-based lass Maud Reardon and her band of merry instrumentalists. With breakneck violin, understated vocals and a serious stomp conspiring to win your favours, it's as instantly charming and alluring as any homegrown tune you'll come across this year. Wonderful stuff.
