Purveyors Of Fine Funk
Dan Curtin is showing no sign of losing his magic touch.
Dan Curtin has released five albums and nearly 60 EPs in the last eight years, but Purveyors is his first album to focus on a more house-based direction.
Despite a move to less techno oriented sounds, Curtin has nonetheless managed to infuse his debut Purveyors Of Fine Funk album with his trademark jazzy, mournful sound, usually with stunning results.

Check the tech-house of ‘Romantic Fever’, where soulful female vocals are added to Curtin’s melancholy style, the cliché avoiding disco influenced ‘Water And High’ or even the Latino tinged ‘Escandolo Electronico’ for proof that, whatever the purists might have you believe, Dan Curtin is showing no sign of losing his magic touch.
